Netflix and Bollywood

About 3 years ago, my son subscribed to Netflix. He enjoyed watching the shows, tv series, documentaries and indie movies. Last year I decided to try and watch Netflix. I was interested in the documentaries about travel and cooking and military documentaries. I also enjoyed watching indie and international movies. One night while going through all the international movies, I decided to watch a movie from Bollywood. I have watched a French movie before and it was very interesting. The only thing is I had to get used to subtitles which I am very good at now after watching all kinds of movies. The movie I watched was Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It's a romantic movie and the story was quite interesting. After watching that and a few more, I had been watching Bollywood movies. I have my favorite star and I just choose the movies I think would be good. A former office mate of mine was kind of making fun of me. But I just told her, it's my entertainment like yours is going to the casino and losing money. I listen to some of the songs too, before I would kind of laugh at the movies because there is an interesting scene and all of a sudden they are in an exotic place singing and dancing. The nice thing is they shoot in different parts of the world so you see what the country looks like.

Here is a video of one of the songs and it was shot in Iceland. Enjoy.

First bumps

Like any other journey, I had now encountered few bumps on the way. But I am determined to succeed. I have to go back a bit and restart. Ok, without help and understanding from a selected few, I probably would have done a bit of a damage.

With this personal journey, I am not alone so it helps. I need all the support I can get to achieve my goal. And I'm going to try real hard.

When given a chance, I would really like to grab and take my chances. I know the risks but that is what life is all about. I had been told I'm persistent. I think that's a good quality....not giving up right away.

So this is like a diary of my journey. After a few posts, I will do a page for this one. I hope to one day be able to read it whether it was successful or not.

My guest blogger should be ready in a day or two.

To RBR, I hope you enjoy the journey. As you have told me, we are going to do it together.

Thanks for stopping by.

TV watching....

My sister and I were talking and our conversation turned to tv shows. It was amazing that we watch a lot of the same shows.

One of my sons told me that I should cancel some of the channels I have because I only watched a few channels....mainly HGTV, Food Network, CNN, National Geographic, Travel and Escapes and the Learning Channel. I watch The Voice and try to check Dancing with the Stars.

Last weekend was Travel and Escapes and I wanted to see Scam cities and find out what are the things to avoid. I have seen scams in Las Vegas, Bangkok, and a city in India. It is not like that I would be travelling to the cities featured but it is interesting to find out about the different scams that some people do to tourists.

I also told my sister about the CBSA show featuring the staff in Vancouver....watching people lie to immigration and customs officer. She used to work for them. I don't understand why these people don't just tell the truth, it would be a lot easier and maybe they will get off lightly. Unfortuantely, they do not get this show in San Jose.

When I travel, I have always kept all my receipts so it is a lot easier clearing customs.

Well, let me see what else I find on the telly that is interesting.
